Accounts Preparation

Our business advisory services include general services such as year end accounts preparation, management accounts reviews and assistance in preparing budgets and financial projections. Accounts preparation from monthly management accounts to year end financial statements and reports for lodgement with statutory bodies.

Our role in preparing accounts for clients goes well beyond presenting information, ensuring that we support our clients with sound business advice for the short, medium and long term based on reliable trading information.

Corporate Tax

We provide the full range of corporate tax services within our specialist taxation department ranging from compliance based services such as advising on corporation tax payments and the completion of corporation tax returns, international tax matters and advice on remuneration planning as well as bespoke tax planning advice, often at key stages in the development of a business when forward thinking is critical.

Employer Compliance and National Insurance

We can advise on National Insurance compliance for employers, employees and the self employed in relation to state retirement pension forecasts and planning accordingly.

For many of our clients we prepare specific employer returns such as forms P11d (Return of expense payments and benefits). We advise on specific taxes flowing from these returns such as Class 1A National Insurance.

Payroll and Auto Enrolment

Completing payrolls can be an administrative nightmare. As well as being complex and time consuming, they can take you away from your most important role - managing your business.

Our payroll services
We are able to organise your entire payroll function with minimal input from you. The payroll services that we provide include:
• Processing of weekly, fortnightly, four weekly, or monthly payrolls
• Preparing monthly PAYE remittances
• Payslip production
• Organising payments by BACS
• Dealing with any enquiries from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC)
• Preparing year end returns for submission to HMRC
• Dealing with Real Time Information (RTI) returns
• Dealing with joining and leaving employees (P45s, etc)
• Statutory sick pay and statutory maternity pay

Our auto enrolment services
We can provide auto enrolment services in addition to the payroll function which include:
• Liaison with your provider and providing them with relevant data to initiate your scheme set up
• Assessment of your workers, each pay period, and deductions of contributions, where someone is assessed as being eligible
• Updating the payroll each pay cycle to incorporate any workers who wish to opt in or out
• Managing the passage of assessed data to your pension provider (both the maintenance and contribution files)

We also give advice on personnel matters including the potential impact of new government legislation. Our service is professional and bespoke to our clients who benefit from our dedicated staff.

Personal and Capital Gains Tax

We can advise on the completion of self-assessment income tax returns to personal tax planning and wealth management, from preparation of adjusted profit computations for tax to advice on appropriate business structures.  We also advise many of our clients on capital gains tax providing projections of likely tax implications on proposed sales and how to best utilise any exemptions or relief currently available.
