Head of Property & Construction, Craig is a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor and a Chartered Accountant, providing tax consulting advice to companies and their shareholders for 20 years. His clients range from owner managed businesses to large multinational groups. Craig has particular experience of providing tax support for transactions, and regularly works with clients on the restructuring of corporate groups in order to optimise the tax efficiency of structures, including advice on demergers and Entrepreneurs’ Relief for shareholders. Craig acts for property developers, property investors and construction companies and is therefore able to identify the most tax efficient structure for a full array of property and construction clients.
Greg is a VAT Partner at Campbell Dallas and has specialised in providing VAT and indirect tax advice since 2000. He has previously worked with two of the ‘Big 4’ accountancy firms and has specialised in land, property and construction for over a decade. Greg has experience in many large transactions across various sectors, including complex TOGCs; anti-avoidance legislation; overseas ownership; PFI and NPD contracts with the public sector; certification for zero-rated charitable and relevant charitable projects; amongst many more. It’s his view that VAT should be considered early in the development or planning stages, where any risks can be identified and in most case mitigated. Greg is also a Chartered Tax Advisor, is the Chair of the Scottish chapter of the VAT Practitioners Group, and regularly speaks at conferences and events.
Blair has more than 20 years’ experience in advising businesses and individuals on restructuring options, debt solutions and shareholder exit strategy. He regularly works with banks, asset-based lenders and other stakeholders, providing assistance to companies seeking a restructuring or turnaround solution. He has extensive experience in the property and construction sector, where he has advised a number of small and medium sized building companies and has recently dealt with the administration of a £50m turnover main contractor business. Blair can also provide assistance with business improvement services, including cash flow management, credit control and financial modelling.
Peter, a Partner in our Glasgow office, has over 20 years experience advising a wide range of clients from the audit of multi-national plc’s to providing strategic advice to SMEs. Peter is a recognised expert in property and construction matters, advising clients across a range of issues.
Alison is a manager in the Kilmarnock office and has over 30 years of general practice experience. Whilst she looks after a large and diverse portfolio of clients Alison has considerable experience servicing clients in the property and construction industry; responsible for the delivery of compliance services including accounts preparation, VAT and bookkeeping to a variety of property and construction companies ranging from small enterprises to larger entities in both the residential and commercial sectors.
Angela is an audit manager, based in our Glasgow office. Her experience and portfolio covers a wide variety of business sizes, industry types and structures. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2007, she developed a keen interest in the property and construction industry and has developed her experience within the industry over the years.
