Derek Forsyth

Derek Forsyth is a partner within the firms Business Recovery and Insolvency department, which has grown significantly in recent years. A Chartered Accountant, with an Insolvency Permit issued by ICAS, Derek has over 20 years experience in all forms of corporate insolvency, and is able to provide clear and direct advice to companies in difficulty. With the benefit of having previously worked with a major clearing bank, he is well respected in the profession, and is regularly referred work by Scottish banks, and fellow professionals. Derek also has extensive experience of personal insolvency, and is able to advise on options open to individuals who find themselves in difficulty. 

Derek sits on R3’s Scottish Technical Committee, and lectures on insolvency to students.

He is a member of the Property and Construction Group, and has dealt with a number of property related insolvencies.
