A packed audience of more than 100 people drawn from the farming community enjoyed a seminar hosted by Campbell Dallas and Clydesdale Bank at the Dewars Centre, Perth.
Andy Ritchie, partner at Campbell Dallas, gave an introductory talk on how he envisages the Scottish farming industry handling the economic downturn.
During his presentation on 2009 economic expectations, and effects on agri-business, Nick Parsons, group economist at Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, referenced historic currency fluctuations and forecast that the pound will strengthen against the Euro over this period.
Alex McDougall, senior partner at Clydesdale Bank's Perth Financial Solutions Centre, summarised the success of the evening.
He said: "We were delighted with the large turnout for a successful event which I'm sure the local farmers would have found to be very interesting and informative."
