01.05.09 MONTY'S BIG CASH SWING

Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie helped tee up more than £15,000 for charity at the Cash for Kids Ball.

Monty joined businesses across Tayside for an ABBA inspired evening at Perth Concert Hall sponsored by Campbell Dallas Chartered Accountants.

Over 150 guests raised funds for Cash for Kids, which helps support local children in the area.

Guests from a variety of firms based in Perthshire had a ball, bidding for golfing items including a putter signed by the Scottish golfing star.

A Rieju SMX 125 Supermoto motorbike, generously donated by Sandy Bloy Motorcycles in Perth, was the star auction item and went for the grand sum of £2,000.

Guests danced into the wee small hours with entertainment provided by Abba Gold and local band Vortex.

Andy Ritchie, partner, Campbell Dallas said: "The evening was a tremendous success and all of the guests entered into the spirit of the evening to raise as much money as possible for Cash for Kids."

Lynda Curran, the local Cash for Kids Co-Ordinator, added: "Campbell Dallas hosted another fantastic Charity Ball for us.

"The effort put into organising this event is outstanding and many children across Tay Territory will benefit as a result. Our sincere thanks go to everyone involved."
